Join us for a casual evening of great Italian wines and small plates of the region. We will examine the concept; "If it grows together, it goes together" as it applies to the cuisine of several wine-growing regions of the Italian peninsula. Hosted and prepared by David Stowell, Whole Foods chef and Somme. Come learn a little culinary history while you enjoy some lovely Italian wines.

Completely exceeded my expectations! Took my boyfriend, a wine novice, to this class as he's been lamenting about his under-developed palate and really did get a grand tour of Italy. Chef David Sowell chose wine and food pairings to highlight the cuisine from north to south, offering insight to the culture along with great stories. Really fabulous. While I'd hoped for something geared more toward novices to help them identify aromas and flavors in the wine, classmates helped in that regard so this class was great for individuals all along the wine experience spectrum.
