Eco Printing with Botanicals

Create beautifully imprinted fabric using natural botanicals from Perennial’s dye garden! In this class, Perennial Programs Manager + Missouri Master Naturalist Tara Morton will demonstrate what plants can be used to create “steam bundles,” a process by which color is extracted from plants in the shape of the botanical being used. This process can be used to create gorgeously overlayed scarves, garments and more. We’ll provide several types of natural fabrics for you to print with while you’re here. You’ll leave with several samples imprinted with shades of green red, yellow and more to create the perfect fall accessory.
