Cereal boxes. T-shirts. Maps. Just another junk pile? You might think those objects are best suited for the bottom of a recycle or trash bin, but we’ve got news for you. At reMAKE, we’re rollin’ up our sleeves for a night of upcycled printing projects. Using the studio equipment at Central Print, you’ll ink up Perennial’s stack of treasured toss-ables with new designs! The results are sure to be print-eresting!
With a few cuts create an infinity scarf from a colorful t-shirt. Select a screen and fabric ink to compose a pattern for an added touch of style. Your new scarf will surely come in handy on those brisk February evenings!
If you enjoy the art of letter writing, then making handmade cards + envelopes will be right up your alley. Jump into production mode and crank out a set of greeting cards. Using a bit of basic screen-printing techniques and tools, you’ll transform the covers of food packaging into custom printed cards. Say ‘thanks’ or ‘be well;’ the message is up to you.
Pair your set of greeting cards with handmade envelopes crafted from maps. The folks at Central Print will give you an introduction to letterpress with vintage printing cuts. Try your hand at the Norton proof press to jazz up your envelopes. It’s sure to be a printy good time!
