Note: This is a multi-session event series. By purchasing the event package, you acknowledge that you can attend all event dates included below. Please note, this two-day class takes place on Tuesdays, August 17 + August 24 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
Tunnel Books are a form of bookbinding dating back to the mid 1800’s. Inspired by theatrical set designs and used to commemorate major events like the Worlds Fairs, these fun books use layers of images viewed from the front to create a 3-D effect. In the first session of this class, we will decorate our book covers and begin work on collaging the inner pages. In the second session of this class, we will assemble our covers and pages, using accordion folded spine pieces. Participants are welcome to bring their own decorative paper and collage material if desired.
Important:This is an in-person class that will take place at Perennial. You will be assigned your own socially distanced workstation and will be required to wear a mask while you are here. Our full policies can be found here.
