RITUAL | CRAFT SOURDOUGH

Have you been working with your sourdough starter and had some successes and maybe a few challenges? Ready to improve on your skills? Sourdough Advanced Techniques is the class for you!

In this class, you will learn next level sourdough skills:

  • How to work with whole, ancient and heirloom grains

  • Adding porridges and seeds to your recipes.

  • Advanced fermentation techniques for improved nutrition and digestibility

  • Creative scoring techniques to enhance your bread’s loft and spring in the oven and for improved “bread appeal”

  • Delicious ways to use day-old bread and discarded starter

  • Troubleshooting sourdough challenges

  • Plus, we’ll make sourdough pizza

You’ll leave class well fed with a loaf of artisan whole wheat bread that you baked in class and 2 more loaves to take home and bake. You’ll also leave with recipes, resources for local grains, and the tools you need to use your advanced sourdough baking skills at home:

  • Proofing baskets

  • Scoring tools

  • A bench scraper

  • Packets of ancient and heirloom grains

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

The Good Food Project is built to make cooking fast, fun and accessible for everyone. Everybody should know how to cook things they enjoy eating and the more things you can cook, the better.

When you come to our classes, come with an open mind. You’ll try some new things, have a fantastic experience and leave feeling like you have gained the knowledge and confidence that will make your next culinary creation extraordinary.

People tell us that the best takeaways from our classes are not the big lessons, they are the tips and ideas that will make your cooking life easier and improving on what you are already doing. Things like substituting ingredients, using spices and slicing an onion without crying.

Join us for a class. We’ll cook up some great flavors and taste some awesome things together, plus we’d love to talk food with you! Hope to see you soon!
