Event Overview

Christmas is a time for traditions, both old and new. And in this highly unusual year, let's start a new tradition by baking a Buche de Noel, or Yule Log Cake. It looks daunting but is time well spent to turn out something truly show-stopping.

Join me for a fun afternoon making your own Buche de Noel to enjoy at Christmas. I'll send you a list of ingredients and some fun ways to prep decorations for your log, then we'll come together on Sunday, December 20, 2020, from 11:00 to 2:00 MST for a fun hands-on online lesson in making the cake, filling, and frosting it. You'll leave class with a finished cake, ready to dazzle those around your Christmas table with a tasty new treat you've learned to create during our time indoors.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

The Good Food Project's Project Bake is designed to make baking fun and accessible for everyone. Everybody should know how to cook and bake things they enjoy eating and the more things you can cook, the better.

When you come to our classes, come with an open mind. You’ll try some new things, have a fantastic experience and leave feeling like you have gained the knowledge and confidence that will make your next culinary creation extraordinary.

People tell me that the best takeaways from the classes are not the big lessons, they are the tips and ideas that will make your life easier and improve on what you are already doing. Things like the feel of well-kneaded bread, how to substitute ingredients, and knowing what to do when things go sideways.

Join me for a class. We’ll cook up some great flavors and taste some awesome things together, plus I'd love to talk food with you! Hope to see you soon!
