Event Overview

Starplay is a series of workshops designed to use art as a tool for energetic alignment. Rather than trying to perfect a technique or create a specific type of object, the activity is designed to guide participants through self-discovery. Each class is organized around a theme and project which relates to the actions of the stars and how they might influence the state of the world around us.

Reservations are available for each date individually, but we do recommend the series as a whole! Reserving here is for the entire series, at a discounted price. If you'd like to register for just one date, please message us!

January 6: Vibing in the New Year

Vision boards are a popular way to clarify one's intentions, but do they always represent what we are really after? In this workshop the group will explore what is behind the material objects we desire and get to the heart of what they represent. Using collage, we will create “vibing boards” TM to help guide our emotional frequency as the new year unfolds. This date includes instruction on collage and decoupage.

February 3: Swimming with Tigers

The Lunar New Year, beginning on February 1st, is celebrated in many parts of the world. We will be employing watercolor paints to create a picture of a tiger which embodies our aspirations for the new cycle of the moon. The traditions and predictions of this specific astrology will guide our visual choices. This date includes instruction on watercolors.

March 3: Emerging from Darkness

On Sunday, March 20th, the sun will shine precisely on the equator, marking the vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere. The day itself is a perfect balance of light and darkness and heralds in the advent of longer days. From a mystical standpoint, it is when the work we’ve been doing internally starts to show on the outside. In making our own scratchboards and using them as a meditative drawing surface, we will encourage our inner light to shine.
