Join us for this speak-easy themed craft cocktail class that's celebrating Chicago's notorious roots in Prohibition by delving into a myriad of once-forbidden cocktails and whiskeys.

First we'll learn about these flapper-esque drinks, then we'll learn how to make them with our expert mixologists! (Sorry students are NOT allowed to make their own drinks) then ... we'll taste! Leave with a handful of great recipe ideas, should the mood strike you to throw your own viewing party or "gangster" themed soiree, and with a greater appreciation for the alcoholic delicacies served in old time forgotten havens.

A Night at the Speak Easy was fun, informative, and tasty. It was interesting to learn a brief history of Prohibition and to taste some of the more popular drinks of the time. We also received tips on the tools needed for setting up a home bar and ingredients to use. All in all a fun night.

Dennis hosted a private class for my sister's bachelorette party. It was fascinating to learn the history of Prohibition and the stories surrounding the making of the drinks! (And even more delicious to drink them!) He was an entertaining and knowledgeable teacher. We had an amazing time, and he and Bobby gave us instructions on how we might put together a few classic drinks from that era. Bobby was a fantastic bartender & we'll definitely be back at Maeve to have one of his signature manhattans!

The entire class was amazing. My instructor and the mixologist were incredibly knowledgable, funny, and entertaining. We walked away with some insight to the 1920s as well as a delicious drink menu.
