Trevor G.DIY Soy Candles, Wine Bottle Cutting
My first dabble experience and it was great. The teacher was really laid back- the vibe was more akin to hanging out a friend's place than attending a class. The teacher explained each step, why it needed to happen, and how to go about procuring supplies / materials if the user wanted to repeat the process at home, as well as tips and tricks that the instructor had discovered in his time candle making. Venue was great, instructor was great, material was great, experience was great. Would enthusiastically recommend.

So much fun and so easy. The instructors explained everything and gave us clear examples. My candle smells AMAZING and the bottle is gorgeous!
Lindsay V.DIY Soy Candles, Wine Bottle Cutting
The wine bottle cutting and candle making class was fantastic! You can tell the Valarde's enjoy working together. I appreciated all the insights they were able to share as we learned to prepare the bottles and make some good smelling candles. Thanks much for a nice evening with a culminating view of the Chicago skyline as our candles set.

Really enjoyed this class!! Learned so much about cutting different types of bottles, making scents and dying wax. Our instructors from Chicago Candle Co were amazing, and so thorough and patient! I was so impressed with the candles we took home. And I'm also looking forward to supporting this local Chicago company now that I know about them :)

DIY Soy candles and wine bottle cutting was a blast we went through step by step from picking and cutting a wine glass to making a candle. The owners/teachers were so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. We had so much fun!

We had the most incredible experience at Chicago Candle Co with owners Sarah and Fernando. They took the time to explain the candle making process, demonstrate the art of wine bottle cutting, and help us create our own unique candles. The class was great, but the instructors are wonderful! They are so passionate for their small business and really wanted us to have a fun time (which we did!). Highly recommend this class and checking out their product online. We left the experience with candles and some great new friends.

The DIY Soy Candles, Wine Bottle Cutting class was a great experience! It was a fun, interactive event in a relaxed environment where you learned about the tools and process behind creating a soy candle in a glass bottle, and got to leave with your own creation! Good time!
Chicago Candle Co.
As the owner of Chicago Candle Company, Sara has been an experienced candle maker for a few years now as she and her partner Fernando have grown their Chicago based business into a real brand. She has out-grown the days of melting wax in a microwave and pouring into mason jars. She and the the team now have a warehouse space where they hand cut wine bottles and and also design fragrance blends for the soy candle line.
