Event Overview

You are invited to attend our quilting round robin! Ever since I read about it in Sherri Lynn Wood's The Improv Handbook For Modern Quilters, I have wanted to host one.

It's a chance to get together with others and sew to create a collective quilt top. You'll leave with a one of a kind piece that is pieced by the group. You create the first piece and then pass it around for the next person to build upon.

We'll practice the art of improvisational piecing, designing from your gut. When it's all done we'll show and tell. Then, we'll ooh and ah. It's going to so fun!

Please bring:
1. A variety of fabric from fat quarter size pieces to a yard (your collection totaling around 2 yards). This fabric will be used to create your quilt top. It's a great way to use your ever growing scrap pile!
2. 1/2 yard of a signature fabric which is your fabric that will be incorporated into everyone else's quilt.
3. A spool of light gray or a pale yellow thread.

Your class registration fee gives you a $20 credit for fabric!

If you decide to buy more fabric here that day, you will get 15% off. Please arrive early enough to give yourself the time to design. You know yourself best. We'll start on time.

Note: If you would like to bring your own machine, make sure you bring its respective components for your ease of use. Depending on the model, we *may* be able to support you in using it, if you are unsure.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

I have a mission! I want to bring people together to create, and grow a collective of curious creatives and artists in arms who wish to share their passion for making and hand crafting beautiful things for the pure joy of it.

Just this December, a dream came true for me. I now have a space to call home for all of my passions. It's a boutique fabric nook and makerspace in RiNo, where I host all my classes, sell amazing modern fabric, beads, and jewelry. Come see us at 3327 Brighton Blvd. Denver, CO 80216. (Hours are posted on the website.)

As far as my creativity philosophy goes, I believe all art comes from the soul, the architect, and the hands and eyes are the builders for those inspired ideas. When we make I get lost in the process and drop all judgements and lock away the inner critic, allowing myself to simply play. Altogether, I am a fabric, quilt, music, bead and jewelry enthusiast, but I want to gather makers of all arts to inspire, support each other, and share. I'd love to build a creative community, and bring together others who have a passion for making things. I also sing, play a few instruments, and write inspiring songs with my darling songstress sisters, the Leaders of the Heart and Starling, in Denver and Boulder. I hope to join forces in creative bliss.

This was so much fun. I now have a great piece to quilt that has many different peoples styles.
