Take the fear right out of your holiday feasts! Surprise the in-laws with smooth and silky turkey gravy (No Lumps!). We’ll take the mystery right out of stocks, sauces, and gravies. You will learn the secrets to creating endless stock and sauce variations once you’ve mastered the basic ingredients and preparations. We’ll review and answer the age-old questions of:
Roux…Don’t know what it is or how to pronounce it?
Flour or cornstarch which thickener should I use?
Homemade stock vs. store bought?

Be ready to wow your family by adding homespun flavor to:
Basic Chicken Stock
Mac & Cheese prepped with Bechamel Sauce
Roasted Chicken and Gravy & Lemon Butter Pan Sauce

She developed her talents in numerous kitchens and then in the hospitality industry; working from line chef to Food and Wine Purchasing Manager.     I loved this class. I came to learn how to make gravy for Thanksgiving. I ended up learning so much more! This may sound silly but I was excited to also learn how to roast a chicken (not advertised in the class but necessary for the gravy). I ended up making some roasted chicken and gravy at home and it was yummy!

    This is my second class with DeeDee and wont be my last. She does a great job giving instructions and the best part is the little tips and tricks along the way.

    So glad I took this class! My family will be so happy to have flavorful, homemade gravy instead of the gloppy jarred stuff on their Thanksgiving turkey and smashed potatoes! Learned when to use flour vs. cornstarch for thickening and the basics of homemade chicken stock. Tasted both homemade stock and organic stock-in-a-box....no contest! I can control the herbs and salt that goes in it. Thanks again DeDee, you're a wonderful teacher!
