Event Overview

Hand paint your own tile to top a beautiful hardwood box which you can gift or keep. 6x6 ceramic tiles top an 8x8 box. These make nice jewelry or "treasure" boxes.

We start the class with about 10 minutes on the basics of using the glazes and how they will be fired and then get right to painting. Bring an idea for your design and dress in clothing that washes well or that you don't care about! Yes, you will probably get dirty. It's fun!

Glazes used are easy to mix and no-toxic.

Class size is small with plenty of help from instructor. Class is for adults and children but students should be old enough to follow directions well (at least 10). Tiles must be fired (cooked) in a kiln which takes many hours so you must make arrangements to come back and pick them up with the box the next week.
