Fun and games at the pottery studio! Relax and unwind, with playful projects and challenges in this small group session. Great for all levels!
In this laid-back private art studio, you're welcome to explore your own ideas and feel free to play and be imaginative. You'lll get a quick intro, and plenty of guidance to design and create your own project. Includes the pottery wheel- if you've never tried it, this is a great opportunity!
After the session, we'lll take care of drying and firing the work, as well as finishing it with a foodsafe glaze. Everything will be ready for pickup approximately 3-4 weeks later. (shipping available, from $15)
Whether you're with a friend, a date, or flying solo, you'll have the chance to meet new people and enjoy being creative and playful in a relaxed atmosphere.
Public classes are limited to 6 people. Private sessions available for groups of 4-8 people; please ask!

Heather McQueen is an accomplished ceramic artist, working primarily in the low-fire range. Her work varies from drums and sculptural vessels to utilitarian, country-style tableware. She enjoys inspiring others through her work, from one-on-one lessons to Visiting Artist Residencies.
Heather's claywork has been published ("From Mud to Music", "500 Raku") and featured in a nationally televised promo (US Cellular). She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and maintains an independent ceramic studio in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood.
