Event Overview

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away from "LOL" and "TTYL," friends communicated their sentiments of thanks, apology and good will through pen-dipped, handwritten correspondance.

To the younger generation, the art of the handwritten letter may be outdated and archaic. But to us, it's nostalgic. And thoughtful. And an act that shouldn't just be reserved for birthdays or holidays. This Dabble class is the first step towards reviving the lost art of hand-written letters ... and the most fun step, if you ask us. We want to show you how to make custom-made stationery!

Join Nicole Northway and Nicolette Ross for this Stationery Workshop, where students will learn some simple printmaking techniques for creating their own creative correspondence. Whether for party invites or greeting cards, learn techniques for:

-Using found objects to create textures in collagraphic printmaking

-Carving simple stamps, and

-Easily transferring images onto card stock.

Each student will have the opportunity to dabble themselves, and will leave armed with paper goods powered by their own hands! Round your corners, fold cards and pick out pretty envelopes to make your communications personal and unique.

Come prepared with an idea for a stamp! It took me a bit to think of something to make. I wish I had thought of something before I came to class. Overall it was fun and really easy for beginners. Just a chill way to make some simple stationary.
