Event Overview

Ever wonder what to do with a yoga strap or block? What about using a wall or a chair to get you into a yoga pose? Do props seem cumbersome in a class you've taken?

In this 90 minunte workshop-style class we learn to modify yoga poses with straps, blocks, mats, the wall and a chair. The intention of using props is to either help enhance the sensation of the stretch, or it allows you to get into a pose easier and without injury. Props also allow us to learn to break a pose into its parts, to understand the process or steps required to feel successful in any pose. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and experiment with every prop-- gaining a greater level of comfort in their bodies and tools to use in future classes. Then in meditation, you'll learn to use a few of the props for complete physical relaxation, so the mind can remain present.
