Event Overview

Making marbled paper is a really relaxing and meditative activity.  It is also great fun for beginners, as nearly everything you do looks amazing!

In this tiny class we will meet in my home with masks and easily be able to social distance.

You will learn how to prepare the vat of carageenan (seaweed), which is the traditional floating medium.  We will discuss colors and how to adjust them.  I will demonstrate some basic marbling patterns, and then you can have an hour and a half or so to float paint on the surface of the vat, manipulate it, and make prints.

You will leave the class with lots and lots of marbled paper which you can use to make stationery, line boxes, cover books with, and anything else you can dream up!

I have this class set up for one participant because of Covid.  If you would like to take the class with a friend, or family members (kids are natural marbling geniuses) just send me a message and I can set up a class for 2 or 3 people once we pick a date.  Also we can meet outside once it gets warmer.

Finally, I am open to different dates and times.  Just send a request through Dabble.
