Event Overview
If you've always wondered how to get more bang for your rain barrel buck, this is the class for you! We will go over the basics of harvesting rain water from your rooftop, including disconnecting the downspout, connecting multiple rain barrels, providing an outlet for overflow and seasonal maintenance.
We will also show you how to connect your irrigation lines to your rain barrel(s), maintain good water pressure and even pump rain water to a second-story garden! You will leave with a diagram of a rain barrel irrigation system to use at home and list of readily-available materials for connecting multiple rain barrels.

Breanne designed and built a rooftop farm in the city nearly five years ago, where she grows all kinds of fruits and vegetables and tries not to let anything go to waste by preserving everything. For the past six years, Breanne has taught adult and youth classes in organic agriculture, cider-brewing, composting, canning, grafting fruit trees, fermenting and urban foraging.
