Event Overview

"Learning how to draw is really learning how to see!"

Don't be nervous if your drawing skills are rusty, or non existent. This class will get you up and painting in no time. There will be step by step instruction along the way, as well as one-on-one assistance when needed.

Water color pencils are a great cross between regular paint and pencils, they turn to paint on your paper when you add water. Because of this, fine details are easier to achieve than when working with traditional watercolors, and therefore, more approachable.

The class will practice basic water color pencil techniques, as well as refresh our drawing skills. We will work from a traditional still life of fruits, vegetables and flowers. You will have the opportunity to re-arrange the objects as you like.

I will provide the following materials for you to use during the class:

4H pencil
HB Pencil, or #2
Soft white eraser
12 inch ruler
Color wheel
Set of 12 water color pencils
Set of 10 water color brushes, 5 round and 5 flat
Plastic mixing palette
Water color paper
