Event Overview

Ready to use a pattern? We will show you how to cut your fabric using a store-bought pattern and explain all the terms and sizing features on the pattern. This will be a demo-based workshop. Students will not leave with a finished project. Bring your own pattern in or use one of ours.

With 10 years experience in corporate and small business apparel, fashion designer Anna Hovet is one of most recognized names in Chicago fashion. Anna earned her BFA from SAIC (where she now teaches). After graduating, she worked for a large corporate company, Kids Headquarters, where she designed layette for Ecko, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, and Target. In 2009 she founded Anna Hovet Designs, an athleisure fashion line manufactured in Chicago and sold around the world. Anna also teaches fashion illustration at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
