Event Overview
Learn how to read music! Join local musician and vocalist Tiffany Chic as she teaches you the basics of how to read music. This hour long seminar will teach you how to read music notes from multiple eras of music while catering to your unique style of learning and pace! No previous musical knowledge necessary. Using instruments, instructional hand- outs, and fun interactive activities, let Tiffany bring out your inner musician!
The class will begin with a basic introduction of musical terminology and symbols. Next, we will move on to the basics of reading music using multiple time signatures and key signatures. By keeping the class size intimate, Tiffany guarantees a curriculum that will cater to your individual level of experience. Any learning materials will be provided and all students will get to take home their very own custom written short musical piece! Come play instruments and channel your inner Bach in a fun, relaxed, creative learning environment!

Tiffany Chic is a local Chicago musician with over 15 years of experience. She plays trumpet and piano and is also a vocalist. With over 10 years of experience in musical theatre and music writing, Tiffany is passionate about creating music as well as sharing knowledge with aspiring musicians of any level. She is currently a Youth Empowerment Specialist working on Chicago's west side with a concentration in art and music therapy.
