Event Overview

This series of four Monday evening classes (just $12.50 each) is your prescription for getting rid of stress. Study after study (NIH, Tufts, UMASS, Harvard to name just a few) shows that mindfulness meditation lowers blood pressure, reduces levels of stress hormones like cortisol (associated with staying fat and unhealthy), reduces muscle tension, helps prevent headaches, reduces occurrences and severity of anxiety/panic attacks and depression. And that's just a few of the amazing benefits. It also helps us see what's going on in our lives more clearly by reducing the fog of emotions normally in our way. This lets us make better, more informed choices, and teaches us to respond rather than react.

In these classes we'll focus less on doing and more on being. You'll be guided through a series of meditations designed to allow your heart and mind and body to get the rest and healing they so badly need. Come as you are. Nothing needed other than a desire to heal your suffering, lessen that feeling of unsatisfactoriness that can creep into our lives, and put down that burden of stress we all carry.

Classes are one hour long, featuring 45 minutes of experiential practice and 15 minutes for q & a and conversation at the end of practice. You'll also get a hand out to help support your practice when you go home.
