Event Overview

We've only got a few weeks left of summer, so lean back, enjoy the sun, and sip some stylish cocktails. In this class, you'll learn how to create tantalizing, lip-smacking cocktails and appetizers that are guaranteed to light up any celebration. The drinks will all be bright to match our summer moods, with flavors out of this world! Bring your thirst and your appetite, as we will have also prepare appetizers to enjoy alongside the cocktails.

On the cocktail menu:
Good Old Fashioned Cocktail – a Don Draper favorite
Grape Flower Freeze – Cucumber Vodka, Elderflower Liqueur, White Grape Juice & Sour Mix, served frozen
Pomme Ginger Fizz – Vodka, Pomegranate Juice and Ginger beer
Summer Breeze – Spiced Caribbean Rum, Orange Juice, grapefruit juice and a splash of seltzer.

On the food menu:
Posh Popcorn – buttered popcorn with Parmesan cheese & spices
Puree di Tonna – Tuna spread with butter, lemon, salt & Pepper
Goat Cheese Stuffed Mushroom Caps – Mushrooms stuffed with soft goat cheese baked until tender & lightly browned
Mini Spicy Buffalo Chicken Bites – Mini Chicken Meatballs w/buffalo wing sauce
Avocado Bar – Avocados seasoned with lime and topped with great Mexican favorites

Donna Binbek is the Chef/Owner of Simply Food Chicago Personal Chef Service. Her love of food and cooking began as a teen; assisting her father in the kitchen of his taco stand & candy store businesses and helping her mother plan parties for family and friends. Many years later, after working in the corporate world, and starting her own family; the culinary bug bit once again so Donna enrolled and trained at Chicago's Kendall College of Culinary Arts, and she started her Hospitality career as a Garde Manger then quickly moving up to line cook at the famous Gordon's Restaurant in downtown Chicago. Following her stint at Gordon's, Donna realized she wanted to go in business for herself and cook the cuisine she wanted and loved to make, so she started her own catering and personal chef service. Now, she happily prepares the foods she loves for clients, family and friends, and also gives cooking instruction and assists in wine consultations. Though her first love will always be cooking and hospitality, Donna enjoys being behind the scene, photographing food, wine and social events when working with her lifestyle photography company, Donna Binbek Photography.
