Event Overview

In this workshop, we use gentle yoga poses, meditation, and journaling to discover (or recover) your creative self.

Students are led through guided meditation techniques to create space for new ideas within the mind.

The yoga postures are simple and aim to melt away the tension that locks us into our habitual thinking. Exercises from Julia Cameron's book "The Artist's Way" are incorporated to help us unlock the creativity that sits deep within all of us.

Students will leave with tools to use on a daily basis to live a more creative, spontaneous, and playful life!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Kellyn has been dancing since the age of 5. As she grew older, many roadblocks got in the way of her creative expression. She discovered Julia Cameron's book called the Artist's Way in 2015, and was instantly refreshed and invigorated as she rediscovered her creative capabilities. She's now excited to be sharing these tools with her yoga, dance, and other movement classes. She believes creativity makes everyone's jobs, lives, and relationships better, no matter who you are!

This class was right up my ally! I love to practice yoga and am a certified yoga instructor myself. I was also familiar with the book "The Artist's Way" and loved the creativity practices that the instructor incorporated into the class so seamlessly. You don't have to be familiar with the book to enjoy this class! I would recommend this class to anyone who wants a relaxing evening of self-reflection and self-care.
