Event Overview

Create your own signature perfume with essential oils in this hands-on perfuming session. You'll choose fragrances from a wide variety of essential oils—including lavender, ylang ylang, jasmine, cedarwood, and vetiver—to create a completely unique roll-on perfume you love. You can create any type of fragrance that suits your personality and personal style, ranging from floral to citrus to earthy.

During the session, you'll learn scent-creation principles and how to create a balanced perfume blend with top, middle, and base notes.

The instructor will provide all the essential oils and one roll-on perfume bottle per student.

This was our second time taking the candle class and it was still just as much fun! My friend and I wanted to review the process to create candles on our own at home and went back to Jess's class because it was so helpful the first time. I walked out of there with two nice smelling candles and the feeling that I could branch out on my own. Great class.

This class was so much fun! We were given paper handouts of fragrance theory and she was super knowledgeable about what makes a good scent. Would definitely recommend this class. I made 3 small candles.

I highly recommend taking this candle-making course with Jessica! The class was fun and relaxing. You also learn how easy it is to make a candle. Jessica provides a wide array of scents for you to choose from and clearly explains each step of candle making. She also makes really good hot toddy drinks. The Paperish Mess store is really cool and I ended up buying a few things. FYI -- if you are one of the students, you get 10% off your Paperish Mess purchase. Great class!!

I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this class since I'm not very good at crafty things, but I ended up having a lot of fun. The candles were very easy to make with step by step instructions given. There's a big variety of scents to choose from so your candle can smell however you want. Mine turned out looking beautiful and the hot toddies were a nice complement to the class. Highly recommend.

Paperish Mess was an awesome location for the class - we all left with little trinkets from the store (10% off for class attendees!). The class itself was fun. I had great time! The instructor was energetic, nice and enthusiastic. She explained and answered every question. The people were all very nice also. I would definitely recommend taking this class as well as doing it again myself. I love my candle!

This is the second time I've taken this class because I love it so much! Wonderful teacher, really informative, and I appreciated learning the science behind pairing scents to put in candles. Love the little store the class is in, and the adult beverages during the class were a really nice touch. Would definitely take it again!
