Event Overview

Admit it: You’ve heard the buzz about mindfulness and you’ve been a tiny bit curious. You know people who meditate, think it’s kind of weird, but wonder if it’s helpful anyway. Or maybe you’re just convinced that you “can’t do it” or “it’s just too new-agey.” Well, this ain’t the Tibetan-mountaintop, guru-ified, granola idea that you’re picturing. No, this stuff is based on years of serious, academic research on the amazingly positive effects of mindfulness and meditation on real people, with real lives, here in the Western world.

You can’t afford NOT to learn these techniques, if you’re going to thrive in this frantic, fast-paced, technified world. That’s why we’re offering a quick course teaching a bit about the history, research, and current uses of these techniques. In a couple of hours, you’ll learn all that and practice 5 key techniques that take little time to do, are straight-forward to use, and will immediately improve your life. You’ll also learn how you can take your practice further, if you’d like. There will be time for Q & A, and we’ll answer all your questions - no matter how basic or skeptical. Get a taste of what mindfulness and meditation are all about, and learn how you can reap immediate benefits from these simple, no-cost practices.

This course will be taught by two experienced meditators and mindfulness teachers, Lyssa Menard and Michelle Taufmann.
