Anyone that is in business for themselves wants to develop more influence.
We all want to know the right people and be more connected.
But how do you make the right connections when most of the people that you want to connect with to land a business deal are next to impossible to get ahold of or create relationships with?
There are a TON of ways. One way that I have found to be pretty effective is to interview them.
Think about it. What do authors want to do when they launch a new book?
Promote it.
What do CEO's and entrepreneurs like to do?
Talk about their business and promote it as cheaply as possible.
Why not start a podcast and interview them?
What is a podcast?
A podcast essentially audio on demand, pretty similar to what Netflix has done for TV and movies. Although there are MAJOR shows like The Dave Ramsey Show and NPR there are also a TON of smaller shows (like mine) that target a much smaller demographic and also generate substantial revenue for the owner.
Here are a few reasons why you should start a podcast:
-You can interview experts in your field and get free coaching
-You can build authority as an EXPERT rather than a SALESMEN
-It can open doors for speaking and consulting and book gigs
-It is FUN and EASY once you get past the initial learning curve
