Event Overview

Nowadays, writing a blog and developing an online brand are one and the same.

Large companies, young startups, and even individual professionals use blogging to establish their expertise, grow their reputation and bring in business. In fact, many people have found the power of blogging to be so strong that they have left their 9-5s to be an influencer full-time.

Whether you're creating a blog as a new business idea, using it to develop your own personal brand equity in Chicago or helping target the right customer for your desk job, blogging is a great way to take hold of your digital presence.

For those who may or may not have taken one of my blogging classes before but are looking for more personal attention, here it is: OFFICE HOURS!

Come for one-on-one help with designing, launching or managing you blog. We can cover topics like:

-What blogging platforms are available and what's right for you
-The first things to think about when starting a blog
-Wordpress themes and basic design elements
-The Wordpress dashboard: how to format, publish, and promote a post
-Great plugins for your blog
-Wordpress.com and Wordpress.org
-Content marketing and how to get more readers in your community
-Turning your blog into a business and how to make money off of it

Come book a one-hour session (or if you think you'll need more time, book two in a row). We'll meet on the second floor of the Starbucks on Rush.

Beth gave me a lot of encouragement and some instruction that MAYBE I could have found on my own if I had been patient enough, but it REALLY helped to have her there to walk me through it all. Not only does Beth have great technical know how, but she gives really good feedback on content and also social media to reinforce and draw more traffic to a blog. This was a laid back friendly experience and I could use it whichever way I wanted to--I would definitely reach out to Beth again for advice or help walking through instructions. She was friendly, warm, caring and very knowledgable--it felt like hanging out with a really smart and supportive friend, just what I needed to push me forward!
