Let me start by saying that Joe, the instructor, was amazing. He was very informative, patient and answered everyones questions. The facility was gorgeous even though they had just moved into their new space. The value of the cost of this class is on point. You not only go home with a beautiful piece, you get to take home the knowledge on how to pin butterflies, moths and other insects by yourself! This was a great experience that all insect butterfly and moth lovers should take. By far the best dabble class I have taken to date!

Joseph is an absolutely wonderful human being and this class is hands down one of the BEST Dabble classes I've taken. Not only is Joseph extremely accommodating when he needed to reschedule my class, I wound up having a private session with him where I was able to get in-depth knowledge on bug species in general, as well as how to re-hydrate and pin them. Joseph is an expert in this field and this class will not disappoint. As an additional perk Joseph's studio is lovely and very cozy. I highly, highly recommend anyone to take this class, and I can't wait until I schedule my next one with him.

It was a cold and rainy day and I almost cancelled but am so glad I went. I ended up being the only student but had a great time. First off, the venue is at the Bridgeport Art Center (which if you haven’t been, go! Apparently every third Friday night they have a public open house. In between work on the butterfly, I got a tour of the place and I definitely want to go back).

Second, the instructor is the nicest guy. I was ready for it to be a bit awkward bc it was 1:1 but not at all. I now know all I could ever want to know about butterflies.

If you have the slightest interest in learning about this type of art work, go. I’m a hobby crafter and now have tons of unique ideas of how to incorporate butterflies into my hobbies. I’m just kicking myself now for not bringing more butterflies home to work with!
