This was an excellent class. I was clueless about welding, and now feel as though I could go out there and start tinkering on my own. Nick was a great teacher - he was about as laid back as could be, made everyone feel comfortable, and really knew his stuff. I would recommend this class to anyone.

Nick is an awesome teacher. Patient with everyone. Explains the types of welding and welding process thoroughly. My wife and I had a great time. I wish he taught a bread making course. My damn sour dough taste like plain white bread. :-)

Nick was awesome and did a great job of explaining all the processes and walking us through our first weld. I'm reasonably handy but I had never welded before. Nick created a light, friendly atmosphere while maintaining focus on safety for everyone. The mix of information, instruction and hands-on was just right for me. I left feeling like some practice will allow me to use welding on the small projects and repairs I've had in mind - exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

Welding is something I have always wanted to learn but never found the right path to get it done. Dabble provided an intro class at an affordable price that let me learn the basics. Nick, the instructor, was quite knowledgeable with great stories of many past projects including a piano converted into a massive electronic keyboard that played steel drums, pretty wild.

Great "intro to welding" class! Friendly instructor, good high level content. He's open to individual training if you want more depth (like TIG welding), but he doesn't offer general classes on it because not enough sign up online. For me this class was enough to get a welder and "practice, practice, practice..."

Very good overview of types of welding and different techniques. Nick was very knowledgable and easy to understand. Not going to become a n expert welder from this class but it will allow you to understand welding and if you actually want to do it

He found out what each person's interest was and then would add comments for each person according to their interest in welding. The opportunity for students to try welding two different type of welds was wonderful. It gives you a taste of what welding is all about. If you are thinking of contracting a welding job, this workshop would be invaluable because you would actually be able to judge the quality of the welding done and have a much better idea of what could be done. Also, if you want an off-the-wall night out with friends, sign up for this class , you and your friends will have the best party ever, with flames and sparks!!!

Having gone into the class with 0 welding knowledge I feel like I could be certified tomorrow! Ok, probably not, but I really did learn an immense amount about welding basics. Nick was a fabulous teacher!

I took the intro class from Nick and thought it would be cool to see what TIG is all about too. TIG was great, a bit more art to it, you have to keep both hands and a foot engaged in the process, but it makes a really pretty weld. Great class again, very practical. Awesome that you get to practice there.

We came in as a family to get a hands on look at welding. Our son is a high school sophomore so we are looking at what he will take post secondary. He is a hands on learner with ADHD. He can hyper focus on things that he is interested in but the regular school work is tough for him. He became interested in welding at the same time that I heard about this class. My mom was a welder so I have always wanted to try it. Nick is very methodical and thorough in his teaching the basics in such a way that you enjoy it. The hands on experience was the best! Our so is hooked.

We have a 16 yr old high school sophomore son with ADHD. I had been worried about him being successful in college. At the same time that I heard about Nick's classes, my son became interested in welding. This was the perfect way to get a hands on introduction to welding to see if he liked it before signing up for the Tech school. Nick did a great job explaining everything really well and the hands on got our son hooked.

We have a 16 year old high school Sophomore. He is a hands on learner and at the same time that I heard about these classes, he showed interest in metal working, welding, etc. He is not a great candidate for college due to his focusing issues. He has difficulty following through on the boring CORE school subjects and homework, they just do not hold his attention. This class was really great, Nick is an interesting teaching and keeps your attention even when explaining the equipment and safety instructions. Then, the hands on was so much fun!! We are all hooked and my son has found his career calling!

After being fairly certain we were going to be murdered as we wandered around this industrial garage complex, my friend and I finally found our way to the class, clued in by the giant metal tree sculpture out front (it was part of a giant musical instrument that they made for Burning Man). The class was only two hours, but I really feel like I got a broad picture of welding in general, tools used, variations, and a fascinating lesson in metal and electricity. We got to see the master in action, and then try our own hands at this very old trade. Did you know that welders play with high voltage electricity and molten metal essentially in the dark?!? Needless to say, I was terrible at it, but had a blast and felt like the bad-ass I have always hoped that I was. Great class, great teacher, great experience. All of my thumbs up.

Wonderful!!!! Don't forget people to dress accordingly and to bring a plasma cutting idea with you. Nick was very helpful and an artist himself!

WELDING IS RAD. I had no idea there was so much science to it and Nick was great about giving us an overview. He was knowledgeable and patient with us and got me even more excited about it. I highly recommend taking his class! (I also recommend another class as a prerequisite so you can get even more out of it.)

We went to Nick's plasma cutting class with another couple. It was a fun experience and we enjoyed trying something new. Nick was knowledgable and patient. We are getting a kick out the projects we brought home.

The class was fun and engaging. A good mix of safety, theory and hands on, especially for a short class. I think everyone left the class with a feeling of "holy cow, I can actually weld two pieces of steel together".

Provided a very nice introduction into welding. Format and content was friendly and practical. Nick was very patient and made sure each student had a good experience and practice.

Nick did a great job of walking us through the basics and getting us comfortable with the equipment. 2 hours is certainly not enough time to become proficient but he provided enough instruction for people to start practicing and experimenting on their own. It was well worth the time.

My wife and I had been talking about welding 101, but there are so few offerings out there that we completely let it slip our minds. A few weeks back, I decided to look into again since we had recently moved to Denver and did not know what it had to offer in this regard. We discovered this offering through Dabble and signed up. Upon arrival at a warehouse type/flex space in NW Denver, we were greeted by Nick, very easy going and laid back. We attended the class with around 6-7 other people so the size was perfect. The individual attention was great and the instructor, Nick, was very helpful throughout a completely alien process for us.

Overall, we'd recommend Welding Basics.

This class was engaging and really fun! Nick is a great instructor and all of the other attendees were friendly people. The second part of the class is definitely the highlight, where everyone gets to try their hand at welding a few times.

This class is great! I went into the class a little nervous, but Nick made me feel totally relaxed and capable. The first part of the class is all about safety, equipment, history of welding, and Q&A, which was great, I learned a lot. The welding part of the class was super fun and everyone in the class had a great time, even though none of us had ever welded before and everyone screwed up at least once. I highly recommend the class!

Nick starts with a great job of walking a small group through the history and mechanical/electrical process of welding, answering questions and describing the pros and cons of the available equipment. After theory is when the fun begins. You'll get to go round robin as everyone happily (yet nowhere near perfectly) lays down some beads on steel.

Definitely an experience you cannot get online! Now you'll just want to buy a welder and practice, which you should.

Answered everyones questions, gave a good background into welding and was very encouraging and hands on, while also letting you know what you did wrong and why and how to do it better! Great overall experience, would highly recommend taking this class if you are at all interested in learning to weld.

The instructor answered all my questions and the hands on welding was just enough to know what to expect when I start my personal project... This was a terrific first welding class. Nick did a great job covering basic information on types of welding, machines, safety, where to buy materials and equipment. Nick demonstrated several welding techniques and everyone got some hands on experience. I had a good time and I am ready to start practicing on my own.

Nick has a great way of connecting with the class. His method of teaching makes a rookie feel comfortable taking on a new experience and giving one the basics to practice on their own. I walked in never having welded before, and I left the two hour class with the ability to do any basic welding.

Class was awesome! Plasma cutting is way cool ... Got to do straight cuts, "design cuts" and buff it out. Best of all we got to take our project home. Nick is a great instructor!

Great short class on the introduction to welding. Came away feeling that I could go out and buy a welding machine and start using it. I will still need lots of practice but the two pieces I got weld built confidence. And to top it off, by the end of the class I felt as though I was a part of something that will some day be incredible. (I can't give away the secret but I promise you will love this also.)

Informative and hands on!

Spending all morning texting everyone I can think of on how simple it was to sign up for my welding class via Dabble. Woke up Wednesday thinking I should finally take a welding course. At 8pm Wednesday night I was laying down tack welds. Are you kidding or what! You guys have got this. Don't change a single thing.

Great class...got right down to the basics and we learned to weld.

Absolutely worth taking! My group and I enjoyed learning everything from the physics of Plasma/Plasma Cutting to the actual cutting! We all thought Nick was very thorough - especially with the safety aspects and kept things light and moving forward. We especially loved that we each created a "masterpiece" to take with us!!

Been wanting to learn TIG as I have some aluminum to weld for personal projects and Nick made it super easy. He was also willing to stray from the course plan and help some of the guys attending with their own problems (welding REALLY thin stuff together). It was a new experience for everyone there. fabulous.

I had taken a similar class about 3 years ago but I had forgotten everything. Taking this class was a great way to remember and get a tiny bit more practice in. Loved it.

Such a fun class! We went for a friend's birthday and I went to the class without expectations. The teacher was able to explain the basics in layman's terms (something I appreciate!) and we left with a good understand of how it works.

This was a great intro to welding. The instructor gave a brief overview of the different types of welding (MIG, TIG, Oxy Acetelene, etc) and talked about what each is used for. But he didn't waste any time giving us some hands on experience. Each student had an opportunity to make 3 welds. It was a great experience and really piqued my interest.

What a fun class! Great teacher, Nick really knows what he is doing and does a great job of making you feel capable. I wasn't sure what I was going to do, but I left with my own custom created yard art. Mission accomplished!!! I saw someone make a mermaid, another do a mountain scene within a self contained frame. Also we discussed the safety precautions and some pointers on good welding practices. We learned different weld types and when they are used. It was a small group, and we all had fun. This is a great introduction to the most basic fundamentals of welding. The teacher was friendly and made MIG welding accessible.

The Welding Basics class was a good introduction to the background, types, and techniques of welding. I came away with a solid understanding of how to weld and what a good weld looks like, so the class met my needs.

I knew 0 about welding going into the class. It was perfect! I was grounded in the basics and left confident with enough practice that I could do some elementary welding today.

Welding Basics was the perfect concoction of content, demonstration and hands-on creation. The setting was welcoming and the instructor's pace was perfect for beginners. With the resources provided in class, I gained enough knowledge and experience to feel confident pursuing a new skill.

I had been looking at welders lately and this class was perfect for introducing me to different types of welding. We successfully welded practice pieces of steel together after the instructor showed us some basic welding techniques. I feel more comfortable now about going into a store and buying a welder for my projects.

I thought the teacher did a good job! I'm just not into welding. I didn't realize welding involved electricity and was just thinking we would be putting on welding hats and torching a bunch of crap and it would like pyrotechnics with heat and sparks and flame and stuff.

My lack of understanding of how welding works / what I was expecting from welding is the only reason I marked neutral.
