Jana Kinsman

Jana created an urban beekeeping initiative called Bike a Bee, and keeps hives at urban gardens and farms all over the city, tending to them on her bicycle. She loves sharing the magic of honeybees, and has a collection of 30 or so unique honeys from all over to help illustrate just how special they are. Aside from keeping bees, she is also an illustrator and amateur naturalist.

We sampled at least 17 different honeys, from around the country, and some from outside of the country. Jana told us how the honey was different in terms of the likely sources of the nectar. She also taught us all kinds of interesting facts about honey bees. The whole thing was very inspirational.
