I believe I was born with the ability to make art. It is a gift, and my opinion is that gifts are meant to be shared. We are at our strongest when we cooperate with the gifts that come naturally to us. So I became an art instructor to pass on my gifts and to help others tap into theirs.
In my classes, I create a safe space for individuals with very different personal styles. My goal is not so much to dictate how other people should work as to create opportunities for them to explore their own talent. I am there to help people develop relationships with new mediums and new ideas. The most inspiring thing is always seeing how different people approach the same topic.

My experience at Dean's drawing technique class was pretty darn cool. I definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to improve their skills. I showed up with an open mind since I've never been much into drawing, but I surely was pleased by what I learned. I enjoyed the class a lot and I'm signing up for the next one. Dean was patient and pleasant as a teacher. The environment was relaxing and I never felt like I was being judged, considering I'm a beginner. I should also say that I now have a renewed interest in expressing my creativity. Thank you, Dean!

This class was wonderful! It was an intimate setting, as my guest and I were the only ones to attend, and Dean was great about getting an understanding of what each of our backgrounds were in drawing. It was a calm, relaxed place where we were able to draw freely and encouraged to experiment with any and all drawing materials that came to mind.
I am a novice drawer, at best, and was comfortable enough to experiment & encouraged to attempt to draw more often. I highly recommend: the space, Dean the teacher, and the class itself.
