It was fun to learn the process to make hot sauce. We made one red and one green sauce and got a (mostly full) bottle of each to take home. This class wasn’t too in depth on the educational parts and was more about making the two hot sauces. But, now, I feel like I can make hot sauces at home!

This was a fun and educational class. It was helpful to be able to sniff and taste the different botanicals typically used to make gin. In the description, it said that we would be given a tutored gin tasting but, unfortunately, that didn’t happen. It would’ve been helpful to taste a couple of different gins to appreciate the botanicals before creating our own. Also, the description says each student would take home a bottle of gin. It was more a half mason jar of gin. Perhaps saying “a bottle” is a little misleading. But, happy to know that I can make gin at home now!

My husband and I took two classes with Chef Joe on back-to-back days (the first was a sushi class), and this one was our favorite! His space in Andersonville was intimate and inviting, and he used his culinary experience to help us learn the basics of hot sauce making. The recipe books that are sent as part of the class are great, sparking a life-long love of making salsas and hot sauces. Thanks, Joe. :)

Loved the small setting on the class with only 5 total students. We made 2 different boozy jams but my favorite was the bourbon blackberry! The instructor was super cool and answered any specific questions we had about jams/jellies (i.e. how to store and using extracts).

Where do I begin!!! The second I walked into this class I knew it was going to be amazing. From the cute intimate space to the bold energetic teacher, everything was perfect! Joe really encouraged us and did a great job teaching us and told us fun stories along the way. I laughed the whole time. It was truly just a fun, non-judgemental and positive environment. And my group got so lucky to have such amazing fellow classmates! They were so fun and encouraging! I highly recommend taking this class. I will definitely be back to take other classes at mL!

Yummy! The venue is cute, I'd come before and it was as good as I remembered. Pasta was delicious and the teacher instruction was super helpful. We made the dough by hand and cut it into the fettuccine shape using a kitchen aid attachment, but the instructor also gave us tips for cutting by hand. After the course we are sent a booklet so that we can make pasta again at home!

VERY fun! The space is super cute and intimate, and the guys who host are great. You'll learn how to make the wine bottle candles and get directions on how to do it at home as well!

I got this class as a birthday gift for my cheese loving best friend. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience! Chef Joe is a lovely person and a wonderful teacher. He is knowledgeable and extremely personable, just as happy to explain technical details as to chat about life. We made 2 different batches that were equally delicious, and Chef Joe really broke down the process and made it totally doable for us to try at home. We had a blast and are looking forward to trying some of his other classes soon! Will definitely be recommending to our friends and to anyone else interested in cooking.

I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking for an educational, fun, and entertaining experience. Joe's ability to adapt to each person's cooking skill level was exceptional, providing guidance when necessary. Lastly, Joe made the class entertaining by relating stories of his real life experiences in the restaurant industry. Pasta on!

A truly wonderful class. I took my girlfriend here for a surprise date night. We learned loads from Joe. It was so much fun would highly recommend. Would recommend arriving as close to the start time as possible as the event venue doesn't open until the class starts.

I wasn’t too sure what to expect as this was my first Dabble experience, but this class made candle making so fun and approachable! I brought my own bottle, but the teachers bring an ample supply of empty bottles to choose from. Setting was cozy and intimate (address can be hard to miss as the workshop is in a converted garage right next to First Slice). I would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking to find a new hobby or make a great gift.

It could have been called “Cheese Making and Assorted Stories.” The evening was filled with hands on experience, detailed information about cheese, and wonderful stories. It was a great mixture of information, community, laughter, and fun. Highly recommended.

The class was so much fun! I went with two friends and we took full advantage of the BYOB policy. The teacher, Joe, is a great storyteller and a wonderful teacher. I felt that I had learned a new skill that would be fun to practice on my own. The actual venue is very intimate and nicely decorated. Tip: sign up fast! These classes fill up. Another tip: this would be great for a date night too!

I had a great time here with my friends. The teacher was knowledgable, entertaining, and fun. We got to make some soap ourselves as well as watch another type of soap making technique, and the soaps we made we were able to take home. I would recommend this experience and hope to do other experiences here in the future.

The slammed jams class was a fun way to spend an hour and change on a Sunday afternoon. It gave me a basic understanding of making refrigerator jam (no canning involved) and a few tips on how best to incorporate booze into the jam-making process.

The cheese making class was great! The information was spot on and easy but the real gem here is the Joe the instructor. He knows what hes talking about and even better, full of fascinating tangents and fun stories. He engaging and an entertainer and truly cares about sharing an experience with his guests. Highly recommend taking this class! Its perfect for a quick date night or night out with friends. We for sure will be back for more of his classes in the future.

The class was great for people that have never made pasta or have made pasta and not had it turn out well. John is entertaining and a solid pasta teacher. The class was fun and we learned a lot.

Class started and ended on-time, was informative, hands-on, but also laid back. I felt engaged but not overwhelmed, and the instructors were a delight to be around!

This year for Valentine's day, I was looking for an activity for my partner and I to do, and since I'm a sucker for anything cheesey (puns always intended) I was happy to find this course. Now, the issue was that I accidentally bought tickets for the wrong dates the first time around and instead gifted them to another couple we know and then bought the correct dates. Sharing the tickets was easy, and the other couple enjoyed the class.

The day of, we had a little trouble finding the space since it is a smaller venue. For other first timers, look for the small brick building just next to First Slice Cafe on Balmoral and Ashland; there should usually be a grey van out front. Once we came in, we were greeted by the instructor, Joeseph, who warmly welcomed us into the venue. Quickly, we realized we were the only two for the class that night and had an impromptu private class. From there, Joe was nice enough to tell us about the space, and the class and we dove right into the process of making cheese.

The content of the course itself was very accessible but also allowed for some scalability in case we wanted to get serious about making cheese later down the line. During this, there was plenty of time for questions, and we all got to talk and share some fun stories. In the end, we were able to make two variations of delicious cheese from just a half gallon of milk and some other basic ingredients that we could do all at home. To top it all off, we got to try our newly made cheeses with a lovely platter that included some tasty balsamic, fresh bread crackers, and a phenomenal boozy jam/compote that was from another class they offer (and we'll probably take in the future). Indirectly I guess I already reccomended this to my friends but I'm glad to refer this to others as well!

PS Brief note about the space; it is a cozy space that was previously a bookstore and flower shop in a small brick venue that is roughly 7' by 18' total. Accordingly there is no restroom in the space itself, but you can easily go next door to the friendly folks at First Slice cafe next door, or pop into one of the bars on Clark that are open later.

We had a great time! Class was both fun, informative and gave you the knowledge to continue to make your own gin at home! Will definitely be back to explore other classes.

This was a very fun, entertaining and intimate class. I walked away with the confidence of a seasoned jam maker or maybe that was the contact high from the alcohol vapors. Either way, I know what I'll be giving to my friends this holiday season in lieu of a boring store bought candle. The instructor, Joe, is hysterical but very knowledgeable and makes the class feel very welcomed and involved. Tommy, the brawn behind the duo, is a nice yin to Joe's yang and at the end of the class, had jarred our jams for us to carry home so we could enjoy this boozy goodness in the dark with just a spoon and a jar of peanut butter...don't judge me. Great class!

I surprised my husband with a pasta making class for our anniversary. The class was amazing! The instructor walked through everything in such detail, showed us how inexpensive good food can be, and gave tips on what we’d need to make pasta at home. He also threw in some jokes and made a sauce from scratch to pair with the pasta we made. The price of the class paired with the BYOB aspect made it a great purchase! The space is small and intimate which we enjoyed. This particular class was on a Saturday afternoon and ended up being with two other groups that were all girls so my husband was the only make taking the class but that didn’t bother us and I’m guessing it probably differs from day to day.

I’m already thinking about signing up for the level 2 class!

This experience greatly exceeded my expectations. Joseph is a great teacher, providing step-by-step instructions, interesting stories, and encouragement all along the way. The space is small, cosy and surprisingly conducive to cooking as a community activity. There were 8 people in the Basic Pasta class my husband and I took. We learned the basics and each person made their own serving of fettuccine -- from mixing to rolling, cutting, cooking and eating! There was a pot of delicious red sauce waiting for us. In addition to a new skill, we walked away with two new friends. And, we're already planning what Ml class we'll take next!

This was a great class. While I had made tamales before, I took this class to hopefully pick up some new ideas. I learned some new great techniques which I will use from now on. Joseph, the instructor, made the class very hands on. Myself and the other participants sampled and took home tamales.

I absolutely loved this class. Very Small Class size ensured hands on in all phases of prep for tamales. generous tamale take home to boast to your friendamily. Good company and conversation while we steamed the Tamales. Instructor was very personable and openly shared trials and tribulations of living a Maker/Doer life. The Space is tiny, they are not kidding, but lovely. Free parking on Ashland. Minor schedule adjustment well communicated by email and text. And I appreciated that we were asked to wash hands and use gloves for sanitation. Well done you guys! I would def do this again!

Joe does a great job of teaching you the skill of making jam, easily opening the door to allow you to modify things based on the ingredients you have and your taste buds. I love how everyone gets to be a part of the class in this intimate space & that there was also time to catch up and chat about ideas mid-class. I'd highly recommend this class to anyone considering taking it and look forward to returning for a class with mL sometime soon!

This class was the perfect thing for a fun date activity! The class seats 8 people so the experience was very intimate - in the best way. Everyone in our group got along really well and the time flew by. I wish it were longer! The instructor is personable and makes the class fun, and making the pasta turned out to be a lot easier than expected. You get to eat the pasta at the end of the class and they provide a delicious sauce to put on top as well. Highly recommended! I'm going to look into taking another class at this same venue!

Great, intimate class. The location is cozy thus the name of them - mL. The classes hold about 6 people so you will absolutely get to interact, ask questions and do some hands on learning! It is byob and although they don't sell any wine, there is a shop about a block away. They have classes, bottle openers and a fridge on hand so just need to bring the vino. Tom was enthusiastic and passionate and made for a great host. Even though there is street parking you may want to use spothero (we found a spot not too far for only $5 for 3 hours) or there's a lot next door but you'll have to try the Italian restaurant beforehand so they validate your parking. Overall great class and learned a lot!

We had SO much fun at this soap making class! I had no idea what to expect walking in as this was my first class and ended up having the best time. Joe was super friendly, informative and entertaining, and so was his team who was also in helping out. The venue he has cultivated is so cozy and cool, it was such a great place to learn and drink wine on a snowy Chicago night. The soap we made looks and smells amazing, I can't wait to test it out. I've already suggested the class/venue to a ton of friends, and am already planning my next class over there.

My middle school daughter and I went to this class and the teacher was great-- he gave us all of the directions to make soap and we took the bars home that we made. He kept us engaged, it was a nice group of people to take the class with, I highly recommend it!

This was our first dabble class and I am really glad we decided to choose this as our first class. We made blackberry with Jim Bean and raspberry with port jams that the instructors packaged up for us to bring home. We learned a lot about making jam and picking fruit and I look forward to trying it out on my own.

This was a great class. I'd never attempted candle-making before, and now I feel like I could do so confidently. I appreciated all of the tips and candid feedback on both instructors' experiences over the years, which will lead to being a few steps ahead if I do end up making my own. mL's space was fantastic - very intimate, and all of the candles made it warm and welcoming. Finally, I'm an introvert and generally get anxious about these things, but the instructors made me feel very comfortable.

I haven't dabbled in a little while, and now I am reminded why I need to do it regularly. I learn new skills and try things I never otherwise would have. The instructor for this session was SO welcoming! He was also super funny and really knowledgeable about the entire jam making process. We asked about one million questions and he was able to answer them all in a really accessible way that made sense to the uninitiated. I will DEFINITELY be taking more classes by this instructor. So much fun!!!

This was an incredibly fun and informative class! The space is so lovely. I had such a great time learning the process of making cheese, and had no idea that it could be so simple and DELICIOUS. I can't wait impress people with some homemade cheese! I definitely plan to take more classes offered by mL!

I had an absolutely fabulous time learning to make cheese with Joe, Tommy & Junior (the helpful dog!). The cheese making process was really interesting and surprisingly easy, and the best part was getting to devour our homemade cheese! Joe was able to easily answer all of our questions so we can make more at home, and he was friendly and fun and sweet. Definitely planning to take more classes at mL! And to make this cheese at home. Intimate space, friendly instructor, not a ton of hands-on time (you watch others do it, then do it yourself) but overall a good class.

My friends and I took this class last night and had a great time! The space is amazing, Tommy and Joe are super knowledgeable and funny, and the class ran smoothly. They talked to us about different products, scents, and the process, AND served us pizza, all while talking us through our candle making. Can you ask for anything better? Would definitely recommend!

This class was so much fun! Super easy to make the candle but not something you could necessarily learn without an instructor. It's a fun, casual thing to do on a Saturday night when you're looking for something different.

Loved this class! The location was super cool and Joe and Tommy were great hosts / teachers. The class was intimate and I felt right at home with everyone. In terms of the actual jam making process, Joe provided a demonstration to which we mostly watched and listened . The class was casual and we were able to ask questions throughout, chat with our neighbors, and even share stories. Class participation was limited, but we did help with some of the prep work and we took turns stirring the jams. The jams we made were absolutely delicious and Tommy's chocolate chip cookies complemented them nicely!

This was a fun class in a cool space - a great way to spend an evening learning something. And I ended up with some fabulous jam as well!

Great class. Learned the basics of candle making. They had many fragrances to choose from as well. I was very happy with the outcome of my candle and scent.

I have been dabbling with cheese on my own. I'm pleased that I got to take the class to learn a different way of making cheese. Really opened my eyes to how easy it can be! Wine and cheese, what else could one ask for?

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the class. It started with some yummy fresh baked cookies :). The teacher was very friendly and helped us every step of the way and answered any questions we had. We ate our pasta along with some delicious toasted baguette in the end. I definitely recommend this class

Another great wine and candlemaking experience with Joe & Tommy! This experience really allows anyone to learn a new skill, try something new, meet new people and for me...dust off my candle-making hobby skills. I've taken and stopped by many events at their old space and the new space is super adorable and intimate in the awesome Andersonville neighborhood. Joesph and Tommy have so much knowledge and experience in just about anything you could imagine. Roll up your sleeves, grab a glass of wine and have some fun!

I took this class with my mom and we had a great experience. The others in the class were friendly and it made for great conversation. Our candles turned out beautifully with the help of the owners and the wine drinking was a wonderful touch.

This was one of the best classes I've taken on dabble. I mean, who doesn't want to learn how to make delicious cheese! My husband and I took this and had a great time! Joe is really fun and a great teacher, gets you into the process of making cheese. If you're on the edge of taking this class, I'm telling you to just do it! Trust me you will have a great time!

My son and I truly enjoyed Joe's teaching style. The teaching space was really cool. We felt welcome and had a blast. We also go to make pickles!

I had a great time making jam and drinking wine! I learned about the process and pairings of jam, and got to take home a delicious product.

This is my second class at Paired Wines. The instructor is fun to chat with, he has a ton of interesting stories to share during class. I think I would enjoy just about any class taught at this location for that reason alone! The jams we made were delicious and I feel confident about making them again at home now. Since it takes place in a wine shop, you can purchase wine by the bottle or the glass to enjoy. The wine 'vending' machine that serves by the glass is great.

I went to this Dabble class with two girlfriends from college and we had a blast! The title led me to believe that they would provide a glass of wine with the class but they did not. They do have a great selection to purchase while you are there though.

The owners were teaching the class and they were a blast. We learned about adding color and scents to the candles but unfortunately, we were not able to do that in this class. I think if we could have had that option (since the candles we made were unscented) that would have made it the perfect class!

While our candles were cooling, we were able to sit on their patio with our wine. We could have stayed there all day.

I really enjoyed this class. It was very informative and fun. I'm a med student so it was great to do something totally different. I would highly recommend this class. It's fun and they make it simple. The finished product is something you can use and definitely a conversation starter.

Lovely class!!! I would highly recommend. Tommy taught us about each step as we were doing it and Joe would supplement knowledge as we asked questions throughout the class, so we got to learn while we were crafting. We said a few times how nice it was to have soothing music, lovely scents and wine all in one...it was a fun and relaxing experience. I honestly can't wait to take another class...soap, pasta, pickling, whatever. Also, I LOVE the candle I made as the result :)

My best friend and I try to do something new every few months. This was another great Dabble class. The instructor was a little late but we were able to drink wine beforehand and he more than made up for it with his enthusiasm and desire to teach. He explained some of the differences between jam, jelly, marmalade, etc and showed us the basics of canning. Throughout the whole time we had fun talking, drinking, and learning something new. I'm excited to try another class at Paired Wine.

Went with friends back in December and loved it so much that I went back again with a friend and our moms! Cozy, intimate setting where you learn about waxes, drink wine, and make a candle to take home- it was great!

Myself and a friend took this class and had SO much fun! Not only were they extremely knowledgeable about their vast wine selection, but the class was intimate and allowed us to be playful when making our candles. The ambiance was comfortable, with homemade candles burning all around and Norah Jones playing in the background. They also made us a yummy pizza while we waited out the rain! I would definitely recommend!

Tommy was the instructor but Joe (the owner) also made an appearance closer to the end of class.
First of all this class was Fun (capital F required!!!). Tommy was very knowledgeable and made lots of room for questions. He took the time to actually teach, not just run through how they make candles at their place. A+ for Teaching!!!
Second, this location is amazing. Not only can you make candles here, but we were informed there are quite a few varieties of classes to choose from. At the end of class, Joe pulled out some jams he had made from previous classes and I am hooked! I NEED to go back to spend more time with these gentlemen who know a lot about a lot and are genuinely excited to share what they know with others.
For my very first Dabble, this was a wonderful experience and will be a difficult one to top!

Since I love cheese, I knew I'd love the class! It was an enjoyable experience and Joe was very helpful and provided tips if we decided to make cheese at home. However, if we wanted to drink wine we had to purchase a bottle in the store. The class for the price (in addition to the cost of wine) seemed a little steep, as we also did not get any cheese to take home.

This class was so much fun! The pasta was very easy to make and delicious. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon activity to do with a friend.

First of all, Paired is a simply beautiful space that was in itself a treat to visit! Second, the class was a lot of fun and the owner who taught it was very laid back and friendly. Overall, had a great time and will be back.

This was a great class! Very fun and carefree, and a different way to spend a Saturday evening. Bonus points for having a great selection of wine in store, and some flatbreads for us to enjoy while learning about pickling.

Joe was a fun teacher whose credentials to teach this class was beyond reproach. He is very personable. I enjoyed the glass. I appreciated that he did not had out class notes but they are made available online on his store's website (how environmentally friendly).

This class was wonderful! I thought it was great that the teachers teach you how to make the candles but in such a way that you can make them yourself at home. They even tell you where to go to buy the tools if you want to make more by yourself. And the wine was perfect :)

Make Pasta & Drink Wine was so much fun! I brought my mom, and neither of us had ever made pasta before. Paired Wine (where the class was held) was adorable and a great setting for the pasta making. The instructor was entertaining and really knew what he was doing. It was a small class size, which was also nice. We were able to start from scratch, make our dough, make our pasta into shapes, cook AND eat our pasta. It really was the full experience, and I can't wait to go again. They also made flatbread pizza for us to snack on during the class, which was delicious. I can't recommend this class enough!

Great class. I really enjoyed learning how to cut bottles and the shop is warm, inciting and beautiful. I loved being able to take home a finished project in one session.

My girlfriends and I had an awesome time at the class. We learned so much and we're surpsrised on how easy it was to split the bottles. We have already bought some of the supplies to make candles at home and plan to have a candle making party. I highly recommend taking this class!

This course was great! I didn't think it was going to be so easy and straightforward to cut a wine bottle AND make a candle out of it but with about $60 worth of material from Amazon, I now have a little setup in my home to do it as much as possible! It's a great gift idea too - use that bottle of wine you shared at your first date or from your wedding and make awesome keepsakes. The Paired shop is adorable and you get $10 toward a bottle of wine to take home too. Recommend!

We had a relaxing and fun Friday night making candles and sipping wine. The instructors were true experts and were friendly and helpful! The finished product turned out great and I can't wait to make more at home now that I know what supplies to get!

Had a great time, both our teachers were very knowledgable, hospitable and fun to talk with all night. Hosted in a great wine store, wouldn't really have checked it out without this class. Now I'll be going back for sure. Plus we were well taken care of with food, and walked away with a great piece of decoration for our condo!

This was a lot of fun, and I learned quite a bit about the process. The instructors were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. In the end, I went home with an awesome candle.

Enjoyable experience! The credit towards a bottle of wine to drink or take home was definitely awesome. A little disappointed that we were unable to add scents or colors to our candles. Its one of the higher priced classes, and I was expecting the store to be closed during our event. It was a small space, and a little bit frustrating that customers kept walking in and disrupting our time. That being said, we walked away with a really great product, learned how we could make the candles at home, and they have a really great selection of wines!

Such a wonderful class! The candle you take home at the end of the night is beautiful. The owners of the shop also give you a comprehensive lesson in the bottle-cutting/candle making basics. I especially appreciate they put up class notes and supply links on their website so you can reference it after class. That way you can enjoy your wine and not have to worry if you forget a particular detail of the process! Of the dabble classes I've taken so far, this was the best one to take with friends. Plenty of pauses in the actual crafting to talk and drink your wine. Wine selection in the shop was diverse and very reasonably priced.

I took my mother to this class while she was visiting, and we both loved it! The wine was amazing, snacks provided, and the teachers were fun. I would definitely take another class here!

The teacher was well versed in the art of cheese making and this was a fun, "something different to do" class! I'd note that there are no snacks or wine provided, which is something that I think would really elevate the experience. Since the class is held in a wine store, you can easily purchase a bottle of your choosing, but the $50 ticket price seemed a little steep for the two hours.
Separately, I noticed that the store runs a bunch of promotions e.g., 10% off champagne on Sundays (bring your own OJ :) that sound like something I'd go back for!

I encouraged 4 of my girl friends to drink wine, make candles with me - it didn't take much arm twisting.
This was a one time thing, making home made candles isn't for me - but - it was a blast.
Bring an empty bottle or two - or choose one of the empties they have sitting around the store.

Cork Dorks at Paired Wine Co. was a great Dabble class and I almost can’t believe how much value we got for $10! Upon arriving you receive a welcome wine. During the class we were introduced to a red and white, both of which were generously refilled. And to top it off, there were also 3 different passed appetizers! It was a fun introduction to wine tasting and I highly recommend it. I even bought a bottle of a type of wine that was suggested to me based on my preferences and I can’t wait to try it.

Pasta making was a lot of fun and more approachable than I thought. It is a bit complicated, but practicing certainly helped. We took our pasta home and ate it for dinner. It was delicious!

A bunch of people canceled--their loss! Me and my partner in crime had the class to ourselves and learned not only how to make candles, but were shown how to make a bunch of other stuff. We enjoyed a bottle of delicious wine during some wait time, the guys teaching the class were really friendly, and my guest (visiting from another country) thought it was fantastic fun.

I went with a date and could not have had a better experience. We were able to talk, make a candle, and hear some amazing stories. Joe and Tommy run an amazing shop and Joe was a great teacher. We are planning on doing a planting class they hope to start soon because of this experience.

Our group was supposed to take a different class which was cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. Dabble and Joseph at Paired wine were able to accommodate us in this fun class. The wine shop is very nice space and Joseph and Tommy are knowledgeable and helpful. He explained the process well and we all had a great time making our candles.

We absolutely loved this class. The atmosphere was excellent and inviting. The instructors were great teachers and engaged the audience with patience and contagious friendliness and excitement. We both feel like we learned enough to repeat the process at home - which is awesome and unexpected. Paired Wine Co. is an excellent venue, too. The $10 wine discount was a lovely addition, too, and helped us a try a wine outside of our normal price range. All in all, we will (and already have) recommend this class to everyone. It's great for a date night, but would also be a fun night out of a group of friends.

The class was very fun, and the store is a great atmosphere! We've tried projects like this in the past and failed, so it was great to have a hands on experience that walked us through the best ways to cut and clean the bottles, preparing the wax, and talking about other options like scent, color etc. Joseph was a great teacher, very fun and engaging, and very patient when answering all of our many many questions. Plus, it's BYOB and Joseph/Tommy provided some delicious flatbreads to munch on during our learning. You cannot go wrong with this class.

My friend and I had a great time. Paired is a lovely shop and the owners were charming and fun. We were in total, a group of 6 women. Joe was super informative and made the process of making our wine bottle candles fun. We were excited to learn about where to buy materials and look forward to making our own candles at home. Well worth the $40 (you get a $10 credit towards any bottle in the shop). Light snacks and good times make this a worthwhile buy.

This class was a lot of fun. I recommend coming with a friend but going alone is also an option. You get a bottle of wine valued at $15 and you can also do individual glass tastings. It's a cute shop and a fun afternoon. You get to cut the bottle but Joe really takes care of the rest. While I'm not an expert on candle making now, I did have a really enjoyable afternoon.

What a fun class! We started by selecting the wine we wanted to drink and had the option of finishing that bottle and using it for our candle, or choosing one of the already empty bottles provided. Veggie flatbread pizza was provided (not the greatest) as a light snack. While we drank, Joe and Tommy explained the process, as well as other items that could be made from empties.
We proceeded to score and break our bottles in preparation for the candle making. There was chatting and drinking in between. At the end we all had lovely candles, and some of us had new friends with whom to take on the next Dabble adventure.

The class was great and I now know how to make pasta at home! Joe was a fantastic teacher, great energy and very engaged. He showed us how to make the pasta using a KitchenAid mixer, but also how to manually do it if we didn't have the proper tools at home. I also loved taking the class at Paired Wine Shop -- everyone was so friendly, they offered snacks/pizzas to the class, we had wine and the ambiance was great! The perfect thing to do on a Sunday night.

The instructor/owner of Paired was AWESOME. This was such a fun Sunday afternoon class to enjoy over a bottle of wine with girlfriends. Highly recommend.

The pace, size, and information provided was on point, and Joe and Tommy were helpful, knowledgeable and fun! I went with a large group, but if you're worried about going by yourself, don't be!

Very hands on pasta class. I feel confident that I can do this at home. It was a plus to be hosted in a wine shop......did some shopping after class and got expert wine help to boot. I highly recommend this class...top notch all around!

Great class! Small class size was perfect for the set up at Paired Wine Co. - learned a lot and will now fearlessly try homemade pasta at home!

LOVED everything about this class. Really enjoyed that it was just a small class, which allowed us to be able to ask specific questions about what we were doing. Not only do I feel like I got a fantastic overview of the basics of making pasta, but I had so much fun, and learned so much from our teachers, just in the course of conversation.

This was my first "Dabble".
At the end of the experience, I can say I learned how to make a crepe/rainbow-pride cake; so in that regard, this was a success.
I have 2 criticisms of the experience. The first being that the ad of the class was misleading. Because the ad did not specifically state, I went in with the impression I would be walking out with my own Crepe-Cake that I would be learning how to make. That was not the case. We made one cake for the entire group. As that was how it played out, that should have been described in the ad. The space was tight. Gratefully there were only 3 "students". If we were to have the max possible indicated in the ad, it would be been extremely uncomfortable. Especially in the time of covid. (Gratefully he offered to wear a mask, and seemed to have extras if anyone needed/wanted one). Had I know the space was that small, and that we were not making individual cakes (in order to be spaced safely apart from each other), I likely would not have signed up for this one.
I'll leave my critical commentary to the teacher specifically. He was a very nice guy, for sure, and I'm hoping this was just him having an off day.

The teacher was very nice and the process was very easy to follow. The class itself was a mix of hands-on activity and demo, and I wish that we could have had more time hands on (although the instructor did a great job of articulating why this wasn't feasible due to time constraints). The size of the venue is very cozy, so if you are shy or claustrophobic I can imagine that being an issue. Lastly, the class ran a little short, and even so, it felt like the instructor was struggling to find ways to pad the time. I'm glad we took the class because it will give me the confidence to make macarons on my own, but there just wasn't enough content or experience to make it worth the price.

This class was entertaining and interesting. The space is really small and very sweet. Given the limited space, your actual involvement in making the jam is limited. However, the jam we made was delicious. This is more of an educational class and not so much an interactive (either with other participants or the process itself). The instructor does lots of talking, so if you like to sit and listen and learn, this would be a great class for you. If you like to learn by doing or if you want a class where social action is encouraged, this is not the likely the class for you.

This class is a fun experience in a nice environment. However, it is pricey for what you get: $10 credit towards any bottle of wine in the shop and a candle that you make. You will most likely end up spending more money on a bottle of wine once you get to the class. The class is not worth $50+ in my opinion. That being said, the instructors were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

Something fun to do, but wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. We learned to make the pasta, but couldn't really take it home and didn't try any in the class. This class would be a lot more worth it if we could try some of the pasta.

Loved this class! Joe and his staff where great! They took the time to answer all of our questions, help guide us on what works best and made us see all the wonderful possibilities with wine bottles. This is definitely a class worth taking!
