Brian Duncan

Brian Duncan prefers the term wine director to sommelier. With a philosophy that wine should be enjoyable and accessible, he relies on tastings to find his students the perfect glass, letting a guest's personal preference and occasion dictate the suggestions. Brian has recently began working with selected winemakers who share his exacting quality standards to create exceptional wines exclusively for BIN 36, bringing the stories of the wine makers to the table with each glass he shares in class.

A lot of learning accompanied by a lot of eating and drinking! It felt more like an interesting dinner party than a class, but as we were leaving, realized that we had learned A LOT about Italian wine - and also quite a bit about Italian culture and history too. Loved the personal stories shared by our Teacher!

Really enjoyed the class, very down to earth and the best part enjoyed each of the wines!
