Alaric Rocha
Writer/director Alaric Rocha has an MFA in digital cinema from DePaul University. His short films have screened all over the world including the Sitges film festival in Spain, the Imagine film festival in Amsterdam, Guanajuato international film festival in Mexico and locally at the Chicago international film festival, Chicago Latino film festival, the dances with films festival in L.A. and many more.
Alaric got started in film while in London where he attended the Club Panico workshop run by Bob and Julian Doyle who have worked on many Monty Python and Terry Gilliam projects. He started teaching filmmaking to children in 2001 and continues to do so today in the Chicago area. Alaric began teaching at the University level in 2011 at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He spent a year teaching film at Tecnológico De Monterrey in México and now adjuncts at DePaul University.
