Event Overview

Gather around our table to learn the time-honored tradition of spoon carving with Jessica Angel of Spalted Home! We’ll teach you how to carve safely and efficiently while crafting the shape and style of your own personal spoon. Learn the difference between working with green wood and dry wood, including examples of wood types that are best for carving. Get lots of hands-on time to complete your work and fine-tune the details, including how to finish your spoon with sanding and oil. Leave with something beautiful AND useful, as well as the skills to continue carving at home (can you say holiday gifts?!).
