Are you enraptured by images of modern calligraphy you see on Pinterest? Come learn the traditional art of pointed pen calligraphy with a modern twist in this comprehensive class! Your instructor Sarah Ward will teach you the techniques involved in creating thick and thin lines and will give you all the resources you need to take home and create beautiful calligraphy art! We keep our class sizes small so you can receive the personalized instruction and feedback you need.
Calligraphy supplies are included and light refreshments will be served (Please advise of any food allergies).
You’ll take home:
- Practice calligraphy alphabet
- Ink, an assortment of nibs, pen holders
- Paper supplies
- Bonus calligraphy goodies

Sarah Ward took her first calligraphy class in the 6th grade and fell in love with the art form. She rediscovered modern calligraphy as an adult and has since studied under calligrapher and hand letterer Molly Jacques.
With a background in education (she taught piano for ten years, teaching at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music and Tom Lee Music School), Sarah teaches her students established lettering techniques and practical application. Sarah's teaching style is warm, demonstrative, and informative and she frequently receives rave reviews from her students.
