<b>Introduction to Brush Calligraphy in Seattle.</b>
<b>Learn the art of brush calligraphy in this comprehensive class!</b> Your teacher Sarah Ward will instruct you to the basic techniques involved in creating the thick and thin lines typified in brush calligraphy, help you learn the lowercase letterforms so you can hone your alphabet and create beautiful pieces of lettering art!
We have developed a calligraphy workbook that we'll work off of during the class and all your calligraphy supplies will be provided.
If you’re interested in pointed pen calligraphy, this is a great complimentary class as it will apply the same techniques with a different medium.
We keep our class sizes small so you can receive personalized instruction and feedback. Light refreshments will be served (please advise of any food allergies).

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
I took my first calligraphy class in the 6th grade and fell in love with the art form. In college I studied Visual Design with a Certified Image Master where I honed my design instincts and calligraphy gives me an opportunity to blend my design and education background.
A few years ago I rediscovered modern calligraphy and studied under calligrapher and letterer Molly Jacques.
I teach calligraphy techniques and practical application in an engaging and interactive environment. My teaching style is warm and demonstrative and I frequently receives rave reviews from my students.
