Don't buy mom a card from the store! Surprise her with a one-of-a-kind crafted card, or bring her along as a gift to learn the basics of embroidery together.
We will start by designing and sketching, and students will have the option of using a pre-made template such as the one featured in the class photo. Students will learn three basic embroidery stitches- the french knot, back stitch, and satin stitch which will allow them to embroidery lettering, filled designs, and decorative patterns. We will also have the option to use embellishments such as sequins and beads if embroidery just isn't enough for your mom's card. Some ideas could include lyrics to a song she likes, her favorite animal, or an inside joke.
Ideas! Everything else is provided.
