Event Overview
This class will focus on enjoying generous tasters of three barley wines, selected by owner Chris Black, and will talk about how these brews are made, how to best serve and enjoy them, and when/how to store any you may have at home so that they can be enjoyed later once they have aged.
As a bonus, we will also hear from Metro State University who will talk about their innovative Brewing Industry Operations program. This program is run in partnership with Tivoli Brewing Company for participants who want to broaden their knowledge of craft beer and brewing.
Falling Rock Tap House is Denver's legendary location for craft beer. They are known throughout the country for their carefully curated selection of drafts from around the world. During the winter they bring in a larger selection of dark, complex beers and barley wines.
Please note, these brews typically have a higher alcohol content. While we will be serving appetizer-sized pub food from Falling Rock at the tasting, we strongly encourage participants to enjoy a full dinner prior to class.
