Building and maintaining a portfolio or blog, especially when you’re not a designer by trade, is frustrating. But not unlike your student loans, the need for a website isn’t going to disappear if you ignore it long enough. This class offers the chance to build a website you can be proud of—without mastering a bunch of code or paying an arm and a leg.

There are a lot of options out there and a half-dozen platforms for each. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of the most popular options so you can pick the right one from the start. Attendees will spend the last hour of the workshop working on their new site and will leave with a detailed checklist for finishing it.

This workshop is intended for creative professionals who don’t have a website or are looking to build a new one. This class will seriously motivate you to go out and create your own website, and much, much more. Caro made website development accessible and easy to understand. What I most appreciated about this class outside of getting a solid understanding of what to do next, was her honest recommendations for our projects. Not every project requires a ton of time investment in web development, and she helped us pick the best platform to accomplish our goals. I walked away with a domain, a recommendation on a web host, and excited to get my project launched.
