Event Overview
An instrument that has made a resurgence from its pre-World War II days, the ukulele is a force to be reckoned with. An alternative to the guitar for less than $75? Many are nodding their heads “yes.” No longer associated with its Hawaiian or bluegrass origins, the ukulele is a charming, catchy sound that many are picking up and even more are learning to appreciate.
This class will build on basic ukulele skills, focusing on slightly more advanced chords and songs. While the class will be at a beginner level, students should have a basic knowledge of how to play the following chords: A, Am, C, D, E7, F and G. MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
Frank is the Education Coordinator for Dabble, and in a past life, he taught high school guitar classes for five years in Des Plaines. Additionally, he sang in a semi-professional choir in Chicago for a number of years, and currently plays guitar and sings in a 60's cover band called The Mashed Potatoes.
