Event Overview

What lies at the root of conflict and why do we get along with some people better than others?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a tool commonly used to determine one's own personality type and to understand the various strengths and pitfalls of communication across the 16 different types. The tool provides a common language to describe differences, which allows for productive conflict resolution rather than frustrating meltdowns.

For example...

Someone who gets frustrated when things don't go to plan may be a strong J type.
Someone who fails to consider the viewpoints of others may be a T type.

At this workshop you will:

Use the MBTI tool to discover your personality type and learn to recognize the type of others.
Discover how your personality preferences guide you in conflict situations
Learn about and appreciate your own natural conflict management style and the style of others
Acquire new strategies for approaching, navigating through, and resolving conflict

The takeaways of this workshop benefit anyone, and will shed light on specific conflict situations such as in the workplace.

Participants will leave with a MBTI guidebook and a clear understanding of how to work through the common conflicts that occur on a day to day basis.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Levi has been studying and teaching on the way people interact with each other for over 10 years. What began as a fascination for the Myers-Briggs personality type system has grown into a on-going investigation of the many systems and frameworks that can be used to describe what makes people tick. Where it's birth order, attachment style, or even Hogwarts House assignment, Levi's knowledge of an array of tools give him an advantage in every situation.

Through his company, Bold Bee Consulting, he's on a mission to help everyone recognize all the assets they bring to every group scenario.

As someone who has been interested for years in the MBTI personality-type system, I still learned so much from this class! Especially on how type is used to understand conflict from different perspectives. I gained ideas/tips/strategies on how to better handle resolving conflict in my personal life and the workplace. The information presented was done in a fun and interactive way, too!
