Art as a Medium to Heal
Fitness & Wellness
I invite you to tell me your story and transform your life. What words pop into your mind when you think about art? We’ve all heard that creating art can calm you, help you relax, or zone out. What you might not realize is that art can also tap into what’s going on inside, something that you love, something that is bothering you, or something you want to change.
We all have a body and muscles, but we also all have different expressions and can create something that digs into our own story. All of our drawings will be different, we have a different story to tell, and we will all be having a different emotional experience as we draw or paint.
If we think about art, it goes all the way back to the time of cave drawings to capture life and tell stories. And it can continue to do that for us today, if we allow art and creation to be part of our lives.
You don’t need to be an artist and your ability doesn’t matter, even stick figures are perfect! No matter what we draw, we can use art to take us back in time to a place we need to address or dig deeper. We don’t need to worry about making it perfect or what others will think, we are not making a Picasso or something to frame on your wall. That’s not our purpose in our Art as a Medium to Heal session.
This workshop session is a dip your toes in experience to the full Art as a Medium to Heal program that I offer. Join me in a judgement free safe place to tell your story and start to create the life that you want to live.
All that’s required from you is open-mindedness and a willingness to participate in creating the next chapter of your life. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks
All ages welcome
All art materials will be provided for the workshopCancellation Policy
