Event Overview

Let's spend the afternoon together walking the city, exploring the diverse neighborhoods, laughing, and taking pictures. You can bring an iPhone, point & shoot or DSLR to document this great Windy City through street photography. You will learn and explore about cultures and people in Chicago, leaving with greater understanding and insight about the history of Chicago's neighborhoods, and the racial & ethnic diversity of the city.  It will be a mix of photography and education, interactive fun and learning. It's a perfect way to see the city and get to know Chi-town better than any other way. We will visit Humboldt Park, Ukrainian Village, Pilsen, China-town, Bronzeville, River North, and Uptown.

This workshop requires heavy walking, flexibility, and go-with-the-flow mentality. We will be hopping around Chicago in a short time span so this will require people to have patience and understanding as things may happen that are out of our control. We will be using public transportation because this is truly one of the best ways to see the city. The price does not include transportation. Please bring your Ventra card or I can provide for you for an additional $10 per person.

I will provide you with basic snacks but please eat prior.

*This not a technical class - please come with basic photography skills and knowledge of how to use your camera.
