Event Overview

This workshop is designed specifically for educators in Chicago and will introduce them to basic mindfulness techniques and skills. It will being with a teacher-led mindfulness meditation, mindful movement, and individual and shared reflection. Later, we will delve into the definition of mindfulness and its importance in teaching in today's world, as well as specific skills and techniques that can be easily integrated in the classroom. After attending the workshop, teachers will not only have an inner sense of peace and relaxation; they will also have a better understanding of mindfulness and its role in teaching, and a toolkit for implementing the simple techniques in their classrooms.

Bonus: delicious, healthy snacks will be served!
