Event Overview
Are you found when you are referred to someone for a new job or business opportunity? More and more people are going right to LinkedIn to search for a referred name. If you are not there, you lose!
If you are not on LinkedIn these days, you are behind anyone else competing for your dream job or ideal client. In this hands on session we'll make sure you leave with a robust profile you'll be proud of sharing.
We'll also review many of the key new features LinkedIn has added lately so that you'll not only look like a pro, but keep your best foot forward by finding simple ways to stay active and fore of mind to your network.
What to Bring
A laptop is ideal, as the LinkedIn apps for tablets and mobile devices do not have full functionality
Minimum age
All ages welcome
Prerequisites
Have a LinkedIn profile that you know your password or have done a password reset on so you are ready to go! Bring the following:
1. A recent headshot (doesn't have to be by a pro)
2. Your latest resume (even if it isn't up to date!)
3. Bio if you have one
4. If you have none of the above, no worries! Do a little brainstorming before you arrive and you'll be fine.
5. For easiest profile updating, bring a laptop as opposed to only your tablet or mobile device.
What's Provided
PDF as a desktop reference so students know where to find the updates listed on their next steps.

I have worked in digital marketing for over 15 years, but have never really delved into LinkedIn. I signed up for the class thinking, well maybe I will learn one or two interesting things that will help me promote myself. I had no idea how much I didn't know and what a rich tool LinkedIn can be! The instructor did a great job of covering a lot of information, giving us best practices, and keeping the class super relevant! I highly recommend this class!

I wasn't sure how much I would get out of this class but it turns out I went home with a much improved profile and a better understanding of what recruiters and hiring professionals look for when viewing you via LinkedIn.
