Event Overview

Curious about the ebooks revolution that has been sweeping the publishing industry, but unsure where to begin or how to approach it?

Ebooks have irrevocably changed the way we read and opened up new opportunities for authors, publishers, and marketers. Yet, this exciting new industry is still being figured out. Sorting through all of the information can be confusing and time consuming.

Join us for an informative primer on ebooks as we learn about the basics of digital publishing. We will discuss:

- What an ebook is and how it differs from a print book
- Basic file formats to know and devices currently available for ebooks
- Things to consider if you want to publish an ebook
- Opportunities and challenges for authors
- Resources for developing an ebook or learning more about the industry

Bring your questions for Q&A at the end. Hope to see you there!

This very brief workshop provided enough info to make me want more! I'd also suggest that if interested, to do a bit of 'e book' research to ask appropriate questions to get started on your own!
    Loved it!!!

Great overview of all the tools, apps, and steps needed to prepare for creation of a true eBook. I learned a lot in this class about the foundations of creating an eBook, all the different types, styles, and more of what goes into the process behind the scenes. Very useful class for anyone in the digital media market!
