Event Overview

It's a brand new year! What better time to invest in yourself and your relationships. This workshop will enable you to gain clarity about what matters to you, and make it easier to communicate those needs to others.

We've all been there before: At odds with important poeple in our lives, annoyed or hurt by someone's actions or inactions, in need of a change of course in our lives or in our relationships. We feel it inside, but letting others know about it feels scary, difficult, vulnerable. You're not alone! This happens to everyone!

Whether it's roommates, family members, friends, intimate partners, parents, a manager, or whomever, at one point or another, we will all face vulnerable and uncomfortable situations that require us to express our needs effectively and/ or ask others to change their behavior.

This process of giving feedback can be tricky. We want the other person to understand where we are coming from and hopefully, to consider the change. Sometimes this works, but other times they can miss our point, and get defensive or angry, causing us to get stuck in a battle and lose sight of the original goals -understanding and change.

This workshop is designed to help you learn some tools to help you get a better sense of what you're feeling so that you can clearly and effectively share it with the people around you. You will leave with more clarity about your own experience, and with the confidence to take the first steps towards having these difficult conversations with others.

There will be optional opportunities to practice the skills you are learning and to process with other group members.

I look forward to helping you make giving feedback easier and less uncomfortable, and to sharing space with you.
