Event Overview
People love fun, free activities -- but fun, free activities are hard for non-profits and small businesses to host. Give your organization a boost in your community by planning an event that draws people in without opening their wallet or draining your bank account.
**Please note, this event is scheduled in a bar (that also serves excellent coffee), so unfortunately only 21+ can attend. If you're under 21 or just not into bars, please let me know and I'll try to schedule another session at a different location!**
In this class, we'll review:
- easy events to plan
- how to find and approach sponsors
- ways to get discounted or free venues
- ways to promote the event for free or nearly free
This is ideally a course for individuals interested in jumping into event planning or organizations that are looking for an inexpensive way to reach the community. I'll bring information about successful (and inexpensive) events that I've planned or supported and hope that you'll bring in any materials you want to discuss, punch up or dissect!
This course will be targeted toward people who are new to event planning (or to planning on the cheap), but we can always get deeper into methodologies and ideas with a discussion if more experienced people attend!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
I have experience in the non-profit and for-profit worlds as a volunteer, coordinator, social media manager, event planner, and general arts administrator -- if it's something a small organization needs done, I've done it and can help you do it as well!
