Mauren “Moosey” Avant Guarde – Artistic director of the “School of Opulence” and Ballroom Veteran and distinguished 2 time Legend of New Way, Old Way Vogue as well as a pioneer and Icon of the Mid-West Ballroom Scene. Mauren intergrates his training in Lyrical Jazz, Ballet, Martial Arts as well as circus arts experience under the Chicago base establishment “The Ringling Brothers Barnum Bailey Circus” and fuses his artisty with Voguing aesthetic. Mauren has worked under Ginny East accompanied by “ The Florida Dance Exchange”. Along with Sarasota Ballet under the direction of Eddi Toussaint. Mauren has also collaborated with Dance artist such as Erica Mott, Darrell Jones and Paige Calderalla – Cunningham. His experience extends beyond the dance community, Mauren has also performed with vocal artist Eric B. and Sharon Jacob Adeva. He was also the Opening performer in company with Ashford, Simpson and New Edition.
